Freedom of Information Act
The Driving Standards Agency uses the personal data you provide for the purpose of answering your Freedom of Information request and any further correspondence or appeals related to this request.

Any statistical analysis of the requests received will not be produced using your personal data. Personal data is not disclosed to or shared with any third parties other than in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

The Data Protection Act
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) is committed to protecting your privacy, and processes data in compliance with the Data protection Act of 1998 and other relevant legislation. We recognise our responsibility in ensuring that your personal data is kept secure and confidential, and that the data will be processed fairly and lawfully.

If you are a user with general public and anonymous access, the Driving Standards Agency website does not store or capture personal information, but merely logs the user's IP address which is automatically recognised by the web server.
We do not use 'cookies' and other technology to gather information about you without your knowledge.

Use of your personal data
No personal data is sold to, or shared with unauthorised third parties.

Online booking services
The Driving Standards Agency uses the personal data you provide for the purpose of booking a test. The test details are also analysed to assess the effectiveness of our services, traffic patterns etc. to improve both customer service and road safety.

Collection of credit card details
Your credit card details are submitted via a secure server using industry standard encryption. Our subscription payment service is provided by WorldPay.

Competitions
DSA periodically run competitions via their websites. The personal data you provide for the purpose of entering these competitions is not used for any other purpose.
